We are a family owned and operated vineyard at Fire Oak Ranch. Nestled in Mills County, located in the upper Hill Country of Texas. Fire Oak Vineyard sits at about 1,450ft in Elevation and is situated on a gradual slope that has wonderful 360 degree view. Being on a hill side, we have excellent winds and diurnal shifts that the grapes love and need for proper ripening. The vineyard site is equipped with fertile caliche & loam soils and plentiful well water drawn from Edward’s Aquifer. 

In total, we have 24 acres under vine, including eight different vitis vinifera (or winemaking) varieties. We planted our first vines in 2017 and added additional acreage through 2020. Most of our vines are in full production, with the youngest vines still in early production.

We are proud to farm the best… and only… vineyard in Mills County with the help of our wonderful community members in the Goldthwaite and Mills County area. We currently perform all of our primary vineyard tasks by hand, including pruning, canopy management, vine training and harvesting. By hand farming, we are able to assure that our winemakers receive top quality fruit at their cellar.
